Moro-Moro residents are people who occupy Register 45 Mesuji district, Lampung in early 1997 when the Indonesian monetary crisis (New Order). Residents occupying state land its management rights owned by a company called PT Silva INHUTANI. The company is no longer able to optimally due megelola land affected by the financial crisis.
At first people did not know that the land is arable PT Silva INHUTANI. Because the land is abandoned and the residents manage the land. Beginning in 1998 they began to establish settlements called Moro-Moro. The village is divided into five hamlets namely Moro Dewe, Glad Moro, Moro Dadi, Suka Makmur and Simpang shavings.
Nearly 20 years they occupied the region without getting clarity citizenship status. Various attempts have been made but the local government permanent residents argued could not recognize them as citizens on the grounds of agrarian conflicts. As a result, they do not get pubic services such as health, education, legal protection, power facilities and others. No wonder if there are people who are sick, they chose to go to traditional healers because of limited access to health care. Meanwhile, the nearest health center should be taken with a distance of tens of kilometers.
During this time they wake up facilities such as mosques and schools is the result of self-reliance and initiative of local residents without help from the government. Agrarian conflict so menyesakan citizens. Unfortunately, it is also an impact on the education of children in Moro-Moro. There are 4 schools in Moro-Moro. Elementary and junior high Dewe Moro Moro Glad no longer given access to learning. While the two schools again that SD and SD Moro Seneng Suka Makmur threatened to get the same fate. In this regard the government as if turning a blind eye. How can the government let it all?
Looking at the various conflicts in Moro-Moro, clearly states must be present as its function. Society would be difficult to get legal protection in the absence of recognition as citizens. There must be no society "Alienated in their own country". Therefore we urge that:
- The Government should immediately complete the administrative affairs of the community population Moro-Moro (ID cards, birth certificates and family card).
- The Government fulfill their basic rights as citizens such as access to education, health and public services.
- The government should favor the interests of the Moro-Moro communities.
We appeal to all parties to help spread this petition and urged the government to immediately resolve the existing problems in Moro-Moro. "Because evil will always live until whenever, then good people should be more concerned!"
